INTRO · OVERVIEW
How do you make 600,000 m² ultra-clear and walkable?
Yongtai Tortoise City — a tortoise-shaped Ming fortress (est. 1608) on the edge of the Gobi, under high altitude and harsh light. Built on the Aholo platform, the project shipped two things the industry never had: 2.4-billion-point full-domain fidelity, and streaming that runs hundreds of GB ultra-clear in the browser.

Crew · days on site
- ·Coverage · Over 600,000 m² — city core plus full surroundings, several times a typical heritage project.
- ·Capture plan · Drone orbit flights combined with street-level walking shots — every wall and lane covered.
- ·Harsh light · Shot within the 2–3 golden hours around noon to avoid light drift and blown-out detail.
- ·Raw footage · 4 people, 4 days — 60,000+ photos, over 1TB.

As-built fidelity
- ·Approach · Distributed training plus full-domain stitching on Aholo — solving compute limits and edge fidelity drop-off.
- ·Scale · 2.4 billion points — an order of magnitude past the 200M benchmark, the largest delivered 3DGS scene on record.
- ·Fidelity · From barbican layouts down to wind-eroded rammed earth — 1:1, indistinguishable up close.

STREAM
Hundreds of GB, ultra-clear in the browser
- ·Challenge · Reconstructed data runs to hundreds of GB — impossible to load on the web the traditional way.
- ·Solution · Aholo Viewer streaming with LOD — only the chunks in your current view are loaded.
- ·Result · No downloads — open the browser and roam the full scene, ultra-clear at any zoom.
